The Druk Path Trek is one of Bhutan’s most popular trekking routes and an excellent introduction to Himalayan trekking. The route connects Paro and Thimphu, taking you through peaceful pine and rhododendron forests, high mountain ridges, alpine meadows and beautiful mountain lakes. The trek combines Bhutan’s spectacular mountain scenery with its spiritual heritage, passing traditional yak-herding areas, ancient monasteries and high-altitude camps. At approximately 49 km, the trek offers a rewarding highland experience without the remoteness or duration of Bhutan’s longer expeditions. Druk Asia rates it moderate and recommends March–May and September–November.
